چکیده
Litsea deccanensis Gamble. (Family: Lauraceae) is used traditionally for sprained or swollen joints such as ankles knee. Still, there no report its analgesic activity, therefore the present study was aimed to evaluate activity of crude methanolic extract L. (MELD) bark in various mice models. Acetic acid-induced writhing, Eddy’s hot plate and formalin induced paw licking tests were performed pain reducing/relieving effects. In acetic writhing model, MELD showed significant reduction squirming (p < 0.001, p 0.01 0.05) a dose dependent manner compared control. heat model (Eddy’s method), slight increment latency time initiation reaction experimental animals, that revealed moderate when control group, but results insignificant. Whereas, decreased significantly with doses studied plant well standard late phase (20-30 min) study. So, concluded biting mice, provided us evidence having reducing potential.
